Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip) thawed
Funfetti Mix-In
  • 0.25 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (jimmies-style)
  • 2 tbsp red, white, and blue star-shaped sprinkles or nonpareils for topping
For Serving
  • 1 graham crackers
  • 1 vanilla wafers
  • 1 pretzels
  • 1 sliced strawberries and blueberries optional

Equipment

  • 1 stand mixer
  • 1 hand mixer

Method

Make the dip base
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until completely smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes, with no visible lumps.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix on low, then medium, until fully incorporated and creamy.
Fold in the funfetti
  1. Fold in the whipped topping gently using wide, slow strokes to keep it light and airy, avoiding overmixing.
  2. Fold in the red, white, and blue jimmies-style sprinkles until evenly distributed throughout the dip, working quickly so the colors don’t bleed.
  3. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and use the back of a spoon to create soft swirls on the surface for a textured finish.
  4. Scatter the star sprinkles and remaining nonpareils on top so the surface is visibly festive.
Chill and serve
  1. Refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes so it firms up slightly and the flavors meld.
  2. Serve chilled with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, and sliced strawberries and blueberries arranged around the bowl.

Notes

Pro tip: soften the cream cheese fully (room temperature) so the mixture turns smooth before you add sugar—this prevents grainy texture. Refrigerate in a covered container up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended because sprinkles and whipped topping can lose texture. For a lighter option, use a reduced-fat cream cheese and a sugar-free whipped topping (texture may be slightly less fluffy).
